How to join us

The Club membership year runs from September to August. New members are contacted by the Club Membership Secretary, Olivia Fitton, who will provide full details of fees and methods of payment.

Fees comprise 3 elements:

• the annual membership fee
• the annual asa membership fee
• monthly coaching fees

New members are issued with forms for Direct Debit payments, or a payment card. Anyone who experiences problems with payment should contact Olivia Fitton in the office on 0161 480 5138.

Any member wishing to resign from the Club must give the Secretary written notice of his/her resignation, which will only take effect when agreed by the Committee and any outstanding fees have been paid.

These are payable to Stockport Metro Swimming Club at the beginning of September:

• Junior Member  £52: (those under 12 years of age at 31.08.09). There is a reduced fee of £47 if there is more than one family member in the Club
• Senior Member £72: (those 12 years and over at 31.08.09). There is a reduced fee of £67 if there is more than one family member in the Club.

This fee, currently £27(which includes National and Regional elements), is payable by all members. It is paid to the asa via the Club and is billed to members with the Annual Club Subscription. The asa will only accept payment of membership fees via your "first claim" club (club with longest continuous membership). If you are multi-registered it is your responsibility to liaise with your first claim club to ensure appropriate payment is made.

Coaching fees are payable to Stockport Sports Trust, and are as follows:

• Junior Coaching           £27.60
• JD 1-3                           £43.70
• Regional Age & Youth  £44.95            
• National                        £48.50
