Cassie claims Silver in 10k at FINA World

Michael Rock gained the FINA A time in Saturday nights heat of the
200m Butterfly in 1.57.01, he followed this up by winning Sunday
mornings final in 1.56.92 to seal his Olympic team place in both the
butterfly events
Kerri-Anne Payne briefly held the British Record in the Saturday
evening heats of the 400 I.M. 4.38.48, though her time
was beaten in the next heat by Hannah Miley, Kerri-Anne placed a
strong 2nd place in the Sunday morning finals making the Olympic
team in both Individual Medley events.
Cassie Patten had put herself in with a
great chance of selection by gaining the FINA A time in the heats of
the 800m Freestyle, Thursday evening. Saturday morning Cassie
touched 2nd in the 800m Free final in 8.29.83 booking her place in
the Olympic team
Michael Rock confirmed his selection for the Olympic team Friday
morning by winning the final of the 100m Butterfly in 52.33, after
he broke the British Record in Thursday evenings heats setting a new
time of 52.28.
Head Coach Sean Kelly said both he and
Kerri-Anne Payne are delighted with her 'FINA A' time of 2.12.42
in the the 200 I.M which places her 6th
fastest in the world. She also gained second place in Thursday
mornings final 2.12.43, the 200 I.M. is her second pool event so
they are really looking forward now to the 400 I.M.
