To qualify for a record, the swim must take place at a designated meet swimming under the Stockport Metro Club name, when representing Cheshire County as a Metro swimmer or at an International event. Certain Stockport Metro events (electronically timed) also count such as Mini Meets or the Club Championships. I will endeavour to find all records among the results but occasionally I do miss one or two so if you have any claims for records or amendments please let me know by email records&rankings@stockport-metro.co.uk
The records are held in two columns - Male and Female, and then by year. Each yearly file contains a chart showing all the records both short and long course and then also has a sheet for each age group showing the current holder with year and venue set. Those highlighted in blue are the records set that year.
